Last Sunday, November 21, voting took place to elect the next president of Chile, at the Embassy of Chile in Switzerland located in the city of Bern. This vote was attended by 630 Chileans from the different cantons of Switzerland, who arrived organized through the Chilean associations around the canton or simply in individual transport.
The results showed 60% for Gabriel Boric, 17% for José Antonio Kast, 10% for Sebastián Sichel, 5% for Yasna Provoste, 4% for Franco Parisi, 2% for Eduardo Artés and 1 % by Marco Enríquez-Ominami. At a general level, there will be a second round between the candidates Gabriel Boric and José Antonio Kast, which will take place on December 19.
As is customary for Chileans when they go to Berna, most of them went to the restaurant "La Casa Chilena" to eat a delicious empanada and have a good Cabernet or Carménère wine to enjoy with friends and family.
